4to2 Hair conversion tutorial: Part 4 Creating the wavefront

Hi again! Moving on with our conversion, we will turn the s4(s3) mesh to a Wavefront object.
-Open Milkshape and hit file>new
- Then file>import>q-mesh Sims3 geom importer and choose s3mesh.simgeom

-hit ok to any "no bone file reference found" or "hashed bones"
Double click the GEOM-00 so that it becomes red in the three windows and go to material tab.

-Now double click on the material and press Ctrl+T to open the Texture coordinator window. Your mesh needs adjustment on the texture, cause as you remember , we resized it.

This is how it looks like, after the adjustments. Now press X to close the window and double click on the material to see if you like the result. If you don't, go back to the coordinator with the Ctrl+T and make changes.

If you like the result, move on to export it as a wavefront. Click file>Export>wavefront object and save it as "wavefront.obj" in your "current project"

If it's a big hair, it may take some time to export it. Be patient, and after you re done, you can close milkshape.

At this point you can reduce the poly of the hair IF you like, by following Julie J's tutorial. But it doesn't work all the time -for me at least.

So now that we have our Wavefront.obj, let's move to the next part!
